Fairview did not leave much suspense in Friday night's region matchup with Sycamore.

The Yellow Jackets scored 34 points in the first quarter and kept control from there, beating the War Eagles 70-0 on Sept. 25 in Fairview.

The win moved Fairview to 6-0 on the season, according to MaxPreps, and kept the Yellow Jackets unbeaten heading into the final stretch of the regular season. Sycamore fell to 1-5.

Fairview led 34-0 after one quarter, 50-0 at halftime and 64-0 after three quarters. The Yellow Jackets added one more fourth-quarter score to finish the night at 70.

The margin came from both an early scoring burst and an offense that spread production around. MaxPreps listed quarterback Isaac Burgos as Fairview's top passer, completing 4 of 5 passes for 113 yards and three touchdowns.

The Yellow Jackets also did damage on the ground. MaxPreps' recap credited Fairview with 263 rushing yards, its highest rushing total of the season to that point. The game page listed Rellan Langford as Fairview's top rusher with 99 yards on four carries, while a MaxPreps recap also noted Julius Carter ran for 59 yards and a touchdown.

Omar Sims was listed as Fairview's top receiver on the game page, with one catch for 57 yards and a touchdown.

The shutout was another strong mark for a Fairview defense that has allowed little through the first six games. On3's game page listed Fairview at 6-0 with an average of 6.0 points allowed per game after the Sycamore result.

The score was also picked up in regional scoreboard coverage. Sumner County Source listed Fairview 70, Sycamore 0 among Week 6 Middle Tennessee high school football results. Hudl's game page also showed Fairview as the home winner, 70-0, though the page said no video had been published yet as of this draft.

Fairview's next game is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 2, at Harpeth in Kingston Springs. MaxPreps lists it as a 3A Region 6 matchup. Harpeth entered the week at 1-5 after a 28-7 loss to Stewart County.

Sycamore is scheduled to host Camden Central on Oct. 2. Camden Central also entered that matchup at 1-5 after a 50-44 loss to Cheatham County Central.

For Fairview, the Sycamore win keeps the Yellow Jackets' season in the same clean shape it had before kickoff: unbeaten, scoring quickly and still giving opponents very little room to answer.
