Fairview’s youth football players got to play where the pros play.
The Fairview Titans Jr. Pro program took the field at Nissan Stadium in Nashville on Sunday, Oct. 4, for an 11:15 a.m. scrimmage against the Brooks Buccaneers, a youth team from Kentucky. The program shared dozens of photos from the day on its Facebook page.
The photos show players in white and light blue Fairview Titans jerseys on the stadium turf, with rows of empty blue seats rising behind them. In the team photo, the players kneel and stand in two rows in front of a Tennessee Titans banner, with six coaches behind them.
A day they will remember
Most football players never set foot on an NFL field. These kids did it before middle school, in their own Fairview jerseys, on the same turf where the Tennessee Titans play their home games.
Seasons blur together and scores get forgotten. Running out onto that field with your teammates is the kind of memory that stays, for the players and for the parents and coaches who were there to see it.
Praise from the other sideline
The program did not post a score. What it did get was a good word from the team it played.
“Brooks Buccaneers had a fantastic time scrimmaging you guys,” one commenter wrote on the post. “You have a great team and some great boys.”
Another called the Fairview program “an amazing organization” and said its coaches and kids were “top notch” in sportsmanship, with a hope to see them again, “maybe next season.”
