Martial arts students who have reached green belt can move up to advanced training at the Fairview Recreation Complex this winter.

Williamson County Parks and Recreation lists an advanced Tae Kwon-Do session meeting Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:15 to 7:30 p.m., starting December 1 and running through February 25. There are no classes from December 24 to 31.

The county says it opened the advanced program to serve its students better. It is for students who are at least 13 and hold a green belt or higher. The listing gives the age range as 13 years up to less than 75 years and 11 months.

Eddie Manor teaches the class. He is a 3rd degree black belt with more than 37 years of experience in Tae Kwon-Do, and the county says he will help students develop and master their techniques.

Belt testing happens each season, after three sessions. Students pay a $25 testing fee straight to the instructor to move up a belt color.

The county runs three sections of the class, and each has its own times. Those are listed on its registration page. For more information, call 615.799.9331.
