Anyone who wants to get moving before Thanksgiving dinner can join Anytime Fitness Fairview's 7th annual Turkey Trot. It starts at 7:00 AM on Thursday, November 26, at 7048 City Center Way.
There are two distances. The 5K follows a mix of road and trail. The organizers say the trail is well groomed but has some roots and rocks. The 1-mile run or walk is all on pavement, and it has two divisions: one for ages 12 and older and one for children under 12. All the races start at 7:00 AM.
The organizers describe it as a true fun run. A clock will be running so finishers can see their time, but no awards will be given for places or age groups. The race goes ahead rain or shine.
