Bowie Nature Center is holding open hours for its Bowie Homeschool "Forest Friends" program on October 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Students can choose to make a tree growth slice based on environmental factors, create a craft using twigs, watch leaves change color through a chromatography experiment, and more, according to the park's October newsletter.
