Fairview High School is inviting its families to an evening on how to help students treat each other well, in school and out of it. The session is at 5:45 p.m. Thursday, October 22, at the Fairview Middle Performing Arts Center, and should last about an hour.

Rodger Dinwiddie of STARS will lead it. He will share information parents can use to encourage kindness, respect and good relationships between students.

The session marks National Bullying Prevention Month. The school said it wants to build a community where students feel valued, supported and connected, and it closed its invitation with the line "Be Bold. Be Kind. Be United Against Bullying."
