Bowie Nature Park is holding a guided Parks for Pollinators BioBlitz on Friday, September 25, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Shelter 2.
Naturalist Laura from Owls Hill Nature Sanctuary will bring a moth sheet and a bat detector for the session. Participants will help park staff record local bats, beetles, flies, ants, bees, wasps, sawflies, butterflies, moths, plants and hummingbirds using just their phones.
To take part, download the free iNaturalist app, create an account, and follow the project "Parks for Pollinators 2026: City of Fairview - Bowie Nature Park." Photos uploaded within the park boundaries count toward the project's data.
