Adults who want a calm, creative way to spend a Saturday morning can learn the Zentangle method at the Fairview Recreation Complex on February 6. The two-hour class runs from 10 a.m. to noon and is open to anyone 18 or older. It costs $40.
Zentangle builds pictures out of repeated patterns, which practitioners call tangles. Each one is made from simple marks: dots, lines, curves, s-curves and orbs. Williamson County Parks and Recreation describes it as easy to pick up and relaxing to do.
The instructor brings all the materials. Anyone who has taken a class before is asked to bring along the materials they got last time.
Places are limited, so you need to register before the day. Questions go to Mack Cronin at mack.cronin@williamsoncounty-tn.gov. If you need a credit, transfer or refund, sort it out with Mack at least 48 hours before the class.
